Central Oregon's Premier Winter Gear Hunt Returns to The Pavilion

Central Oregon prepares for another epic winter with the return of the region's most celebrated gear marketplace this October.

The annual Bend Ski Swap transforms The Pavilion into a treasure hunt where families discover everything needed for mountain adventures.

The event takes place on October 12th, drawing ski and snowboard enthusiasts from across the Pacific Northwest.

Winter gear consigners must register their equipment online before the October 6th deadline to participate in what many consider the Northwest's premier winter equipment exchange.

This year's event features expanded offerings beyond the traditional gear swap.

The Winter Expo showcases beloved local businesses including Mt. Bachelor and Crux Fermentation Project, creating a festival atmosphere outside the main swap venue.

Live music adds energy to Saturday's festivities, with Awkward Silence opening for crowd favorite Almost after 1:00 p.m.

Friday night's exclusive Pre-Sale & Party offers first access to the best gear selections.

The special evening includes complimentary beverages for the first 300 attendees and a ski film screening under the stars.

Volunteers receive free access to Friday's pre-sale event as appreciation for their community support.

The event serves as the Mt. Bachelor Sports Education Foundation's largest annual fundraiser.

Proceeds directly benefit local youth athletes competing in Alpine, Nordic, Freestyle, and Cycling programs across Central Oregon.

The Skyliner Ski Swap is presented by Latitude 44 Sports and supported by 10 Barrel Brewing along with other regional sponsors.

The general public sale runs Saturday from 8am-5pm with discount pricing during the final two hours.

Food vendors including Mountain Burger and Morsel Maven will satisfy hungry shoppers throughout the day.
